2019 State of the County Forum

Over 1,000 business and civic leaders, and elected officials from Broward County and South Florida gathered on Friday, March 15th, 2019 for Broward Workshop's 11th Annual State of the County Forum. Broward County Mayor Beam Furr, discussed Broward County Metrics and Goals to Increase Economic Impact of County Enterprises.

Tony Carvajal, Executive Vice-President, Florida Chamber Foundation, provided the annual update to Broward County Economic Benchmarks.

The Honorable Mark Bogen, Mayor of Broward County, addressed the audience and offered an overview of the stat of Broward County. And Keith Koenig, Chairman, Broward Workshop discussed Broward Workshop’s key initiatives.

This year the Keynote speaker was the Honorable Ron DeSantis, Governor of our great state. “It was great to be in Broward County this morning to discuss ways we can expand opportunities in critical areas like education to build our human capital and address our pressing environmental and transportation challenges,” said Governor DeSantis to reporters after the event. “Broward plays a vital role in Florida’s success and I look forward to working with the leaders here to create a brighter future for the people of Broward and our state.”
